ResultsManager Questions Anyone?

In a previous post I mentioned I attempted to give Gyronix ResultsManager a walk through. At the time I really saw the application as no more than an expensive plug-in. I also thought the tool was directed towards a business crowd and left little room for students to really take advantage of it.

In that post I also requested help from anyone that could direct and assist me in possibly uncovering the true gem that many find with ResultsManager. I was very excited when I received an email from Kyle McFarlin, a Gyronix Implementation Consultant. He informed me that he is willing to generously take the time to meet with me and to happily show me how to use ResultsManager. What makes Kyle even more equipped for addressing my concerns and providing a walk-through is that he actually used ResultsManager and MindManger to organize his classes when he was in school. This experience I feel will allow him to really relate to my concerns and questions about ResultsManger from a student's perspective. Thus I have a Skype meeting with him this Friday.

I know a couple of you responded to the post and shared your similar opinions with ResultsManger so I ask you to submit any questions, comments or concerns that you would like me to bring up during the meeting. I currently have some of my own but would love to use some of yours as wellso you can email me or leave me a comment and I'll make sure your voice is heard. I know its kind of short notice but with the collaboration of my questions and any that my readers submit, along with the willingness of Kyle to lead, I believe will we will uncover what ResultsManger is all about.

Now ResultsManager is very tutorial friendly. There are several tutorials and they send you I think 7 emails to get you started but at the same time there can be such thing as too much help. As a student time is often valuable and I'd rather play with a program, get the basics down to see if I like it, and then read the tutorial to discover the more advanced features. This is the process I incorporated into my evaluation of MindManger. Because MindManger was so easy and familiar from the start without a huge learning curve the process of learning the program was enjoyable.

Now as I increasingly incorporate MindManger into my daily life I find myself having to retreat back and possibly look at some of the tools available for MindManger. The Note Talkers contest has even introduced me to some new products that I did not even know existed! These new products have fueled the desire to continually work on my own maps for the contest in hopes of the possibility of winning one of those awesome packages! I've managed to do some terrific things with MindManger alone so I can't imagine what I could create with assistance from a few new tools!

So again Skype meeting with Kyle this Friday about ResultsManager, submit a comment or email me and I'll be happy to report back everything I learn!
