Lenovo X60 Tablet PC! I'm so Excited!
I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it! I'm about to lose control and I think I like it! Why all the excitement? Well technology always brings out the little kid in me and seems to trigger a part of my neural cortex that just wants to dance YEAH! New electronics and gadgets just seem to always take me to this utopia where all my technology dreams become a reality. Well Lenovo has assisted tremendously in this dream with their latest release of the new X60 Tablet PC!
I own and use a Lenovo X41 Tablet PC everyday as a student to take notes, record lectures, make presentations, and create those adventurous mind maps. As a student with a Tablet PC, for over a year now, I have observed and shared with numerous others the benefits a Tablet PC can provide. I even ran a Tablet PC consulting operation for some time where I would help students pick out the Tablet PC best suited for them and then most importantly demonstrate how to take advantage of all the features a Tablet PC can provide.
My tablet is essentially a 3.2 lb 100+ subject notebook, a collection of digital highlighters and pens that not even staples can compete with, a digital voice and lecture recorder that not only captures all those important in class moments but also sync's them with my class notes and most importantly allows me to easily play Sudoku and browse the internet from my bed without a mouse!
I can go on and on but the Lenovo X41 Tablet PC has been at the center of all this. It has created numerous opportunities that has introduced me to people, groups, and companies I would have never dreamed of! It was even the motivation for this entire DorkoTech site and blog at one point in time. Sure all of this would have happened with just about any Tablet PC purchase , as I would like to think my entrepreneurship personality offered some contributions, but my X41 has been there since day one. I've talked numerously about the things I like (and don't like) about it on this blog and will continue to share those experiences.
But it has been over a year now...and it seems my Tablet is ready to grow up. Lenovo's introduction of the X60 brings a whole new level to the Tablet PC community. Their first go at tablets really made people look at tablets differently (if only Microsoft could get it right the first time...) . No longer were they seen as funny expensive laptops that had rotating screens but instead emerged as ultra portables that could keep up with the rest of their competitors in any business, medical or academic field but also offered the option to do all this with a pen! The X60 will continue to improve on this perception and I eagerly look forward to the day when I can afford to trade in my X41 for what should be one of the best new tablets out there!
The reason for my excitement I guess should be quite clear...If the X41, as my partner in business, has established the foundation for my most recent success, imagine the effect an X60 in my hands will have in the future...
