Tablet PC + Medical/Pharmaceutical Industry = a very happy Jason!Tablet PCs are no stranger to the medical world and it's these vertical markets that have allowed Tablet PCs to continue fighting in the shadows for so long before making their appearance into the mainsteam. Although a tablet is nothing new, a properly developed device specifically tailored to those is the medical profession is a concept that has needed some extra attention for quite some time now. Why these devices have not been implemented into the medical scene as quickly as I would like probably has to due with many factors including financial and budget requirements but it just makes too much sense not to have Tablet PCs in this industry!
Strictly speaking from the business side of things, the cost effectiveness and possible increase in efficiency Tablet PCs could provide are factors that just can't be ignored. Quite frankly I am surprised that so many hospitals still rely heavily on paper. Incorporating my own experience in a pharmacy has also led to the development of a vision where scripts become digitalized and are sent immediately to the patent's pharmacist of choice with the click of a button.
