GoBinder Beta 2006

1-14-2006
If you haven't checked it out I suggest you download the new GoBinder Beta. It's been a project for everyone but Agilix keeps turning out the betas. I planned on using it this semester but it just did not run smooth enough and was not reliable in class so I am sticking with OneNote. Regadlress you should check out the newest Beta!

Answering Common Tablet Questions

1.4.2006
Trevor who is a member at The Student Tablet PC web site has written a wonderful article answering some of the common questions that some many tablet users, including myself are asked almost everyday. I plan to follow up to this article and some of my own feelings later this weekend when I get the ball rolling again on the web site but you should definably check out the article!

Shopping for a Laptop? How about a Tablet PC?

12-13-2005
Fujitsu P1500In an article by Mike Wendland of our very own Detroit Free Press the new Fujitsu LifeBook P1500 Tablet PC is mentioned. If you read my first article on What is a Tablet PC Part 1, I mentioned that some of the new tablets out there allow you to use your finger to enter data. This is one of those tablets. At 2.2 lbs and unveiling an 8.9" screen this tablet is going to be even more portable than my lovely X41. Mike mentions this as a laptop that would even be perfect for students. I will defiantly have to get my hands on this model to see what he is talking about. I personally like a bigger display as its resembles more the size of a sheet of paper and even wish mine was a bit wider at times. (My screen is 12.4") The smaller size may be something I'd think about but some students may actually prefer a smaller and more compact model. Also the accuracy of a touch screen is also unfamiliar to me. For the full article and to see the other two "regular" laptops Mike choose check out his article here.
